The Pittsburgh Pirates are beginning to make positive Major League Baseball news thirty some games into the new 2008 baseball season. They are almost up to breaking even in the number of wins and number of losses. This is big Major League Baseball news for fans of the Pirates! This is a hard team to figure out. One day they come out and play like World Champions and the next day they come out and play like a bunch of bush leaguers. If the Pirates can get their act together, this team could win their division for the first time in many years and this would indeed be Major League Baseball news! Not to mention a boost to the moral of all the fans of the Pirates who have suffered through the past 15 losing seasons patiently waiting for a winning team to take the field. Recently the Pirates made Major League Baseball news with the dubious distinction of being voted by sports writes as the number one worst professional sports franchise. I have to agree with this as the Pirates have had terrible management and coaching for so many seasons, I cannot remember when they had a good team chemistry.
