It only took one-step from the plate to see how much pain Pujols was in. On the bright side, the Cardinals beat the Cincinnati Reds 7-2 during that game. He is being seen by team doctors today to be re-evaluated according to Major League baseball news.
When you see a player escorted off the field limping with no weight on their injured leg it is not a good sign and that is what happened for Pujols. The GM of the Cardinals said that during today’s evaluation they will make the decision of whether or not to move him down on the roster as stated in Major League baseball news. Pujols calf problems did not just start yesterday. Last week during a game against the Nationals, he left due to calf pain. He then sat for two games before returning to the field over the weekend. This is a problem that he ignored and now it will hurt him. There have not been any MLB rumors into whether or not he will return this weekend.
