Steroids in baseball is not new. Every home run means more fans, more money. Remember baseball players' strikes... few fans, less money. Fans don't come to games to see single hitters and no strike outs by pitchers. Power pitches and home run hitters bring more people to the stadiums. Everyone from players, fans, owners, commissioners, writers, trainers knew what was going on...steroids in baseball.
There needs to be a new beginning. Keep Congress out of this. Congressional Representatives and Senators may have a great interest in looking like cleaning up the all-american sport is a major priority, but the safety of the nation somes first! Get rid of the pretense that they actually know what to do about it and the investigation is out of concern for their voters. Congress get back to what you (supposedly) know how to do best.
Clean up your own house, baseball! Discipline your own and set strict guidelines for the 2008 baseball season and forward. Penalties and fines for baseball players should grow each time there is a test violation. Other baseball players are waiting in line to take their place if they don't want to go by the rules.Schools and MLB baseball teams should receive even more punishment. They are in charge and set the stage for expectations. Get on with it!
